  • Grandissimo

  • My maternal grandfather loved Caruso …I was thinking of my grandfather this morning and decided to hear Caruso’s recordings…I ended up in tears; it was therapeutic…. Life works in mysterious ways… Rest In Peace Mr. Caruso and my dear grandpa!

  • Soberbio.

  • The Italian pop/jazz singer Lucio Dalla(sadly now dead) wrote a famous pop song called "Caruso" which was inspired by his staying in the same hotel room in Sorrento that Caruso had stayed in many decades before. The Pavarotti version of the song is to die for.

  • Vibrato is too much plus his tone is no where near as good as Pavarotti's!!!

  • He is my favorite singer. All the emotions and lyrics makes me think of my mother who was and still is a Soprano. Then my father standing up crying because he knew he would die very soon. We lost him when we were children and very young. I was only 13 years old. Memories full of music which touches the soul. Thank you Italy for letting me know so many outstanding Opera singers. Lupita Writer and poet.

  • Gracias X compartir al gran ENRICO CARUSO ten buen dia y denuevo gracias

  • Like hearing God singing....GOD BLESS his memory .Pavarotti said; there is Caruso ,then there are the rest of us!

  • When I saw his name I too immediately thought of my father. I was but a boy in the late 1950s and remember so well how much he admired and also sang like Enrico. Such fantastic memories and I am now 73...

Grandioso.

  • Bravo, brave, Enrico Caruso!

  • how can they get his voice back in the 21st century from this "recording" back in 1904?

  • The voice of God ! ! !

Enrico Caruso.

  • Our souls can live again. Kisssssss

  • Muchas gracias.Un fuerte abrazo.

  • Thank you very much for sharing!

  • Fantástico maravilloso excelente.Gracias.

  • I am verry thankfull. Now I understand what my father meant.

  • El gardel italiano

  • I had the luck in knowing a WW 2 veteran who brought back a complete Caruso 78 rpm record collection made by RCA of Italy. He gave it to me and I greatly enjoyed listening to them over the last 35 years.

  • One of the greatest

  • Grande tenore e grande uomo andato via troppo presto. Voce intramontabile!!!

  • Mari.artisti.ailumii.ramin.nemururitori

  • grandioso

    • @biorges1 Enrico Caruso Korol belcanto!!!💖💓💝🌹🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  • What happened to Jan Kiepura? Maria Callas liked him very much.

  • HEAVENLY MUSIC TO MY OLD EARS.

  • From one Caruso to the next...I had the opportunity to crack a glass of red wine at the Casa d'Italia at 505 Jean-Talon street when I was the Executive Director in 2005....it was the Christmas event to say goodbye to the original Casa d'Italia nad with the accordionist and his band who stayed with us 'till we all left because of the snow starting to come down...we all agreed to sing a final song in the original building, we chose O Holy NIght.....and then when I sang ( one of my favourite Xmas song...O Holy night)...once the high notes came up the catering company was cleaning up and we all heard a crack...we continued to sing...( Gaby our president was closing up the mezzanine and the caterer cleaning up said the dripping sound was the glass of red wine coming on to the floor in droplets not the windows or ceiling from the snow.....There you go...Caruso's high note of O Holy NIght cracked glass as Enrico Caruso had done in Carnegie hall...but he must have been more immaculate...he was our greatest! They say we are related, so let me say I may have been the first woman to crack glass singing O Holy Night.....may the legends of Caruso live on and my I have the Angelic Voice everyone calls me since elementary school even when I sang Santa Lucia at the concert hall of Loyola campus back in my elementary school years from Blessed Sacrament. truly your one and only Carolina Caruso, the Angelic Soprano voice.

  • many years ago a boy of ten was working in a factory in Naples. He longed to be a singer, but his first teacher discouraged him. ‘You can’t sing,’ he said. ‘You haven’t any voice at all. It sounds like the wind in the shutters.’ But his mother, a poor peasant woman, put her arms about him and praised him and told him she knew he could sing, she could already see an improvement, and she went barefoot in order to save money to pay for his music lessons. That peasant mother’s praise and encouragement changed that boy’s life. His name was Enrico Caruso, and he became the greatest and most famous opera singer of his age.

  • His voice is like warm butter.

  • Caruso introduced the opera world to the sublime. He is probably the best tenor of all time. Those who come after can only wish such brilliance and beauty. Surely, God will keep Caruso in heaven to sing with the angels.

  • The great singer in 20th century.

  • MARAVILLA DE MARAVILLA, EXTRAORDINARIO¡¡¡

  • There is no tenor singing today that has his humanity. His voice and soul are one. I heard all the greats since attending opera first in 1957 at the Met. Corelli, Del Monaco, Di Stefano were tremendous with Bergonzi being exceptionally otherworldly (without the aforementioned great sound) but in my opinion, he had the heart and soul closest to Caruso. Caruso was unique, in a class by himself.

  • DIJO PAVAROTTI EL ERA EL TENOR.... NOSOTROS VENIMOS ATRAS

  • Enrico Caruso wasn't talented by any standards. I can honestly sing better than this guy and rap too. This nigga had no drip.

  • Muchas gracias

  • Muchas Gracias

  • Bueno días.Gracias.

  • Ah the Great Caruso. My Sicilian mother would clean house while singing along with Caruso. My parents rated Caruso well above Pavarotti. Bless their dear departed Souls.

    • So did Pavarotti himself

😂🌹😂🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏❤️❤️❤️

  • My grandparents had a box at the old Met during the days when Caruso was singing - and when my grandmother would talk about it, I often wished there were a way to plug into her memory so I could hear what she had heard. I used to have students listen to a modern recording of an aria, and to listen specifically to the orchestra. Then I would put on a Caruso recording - and stop it after a minute, and ask them to bring the imagined sound of that old orchestra up to what they new the orchestra should sound like. Then do the same exercise when they listen to the voice - try and imagine what it might have sounded like live rather than through the recording.

    • Meravigliosa impareggiabili voce fa bene al cuore sentirlo grazie caro Enrico sei ilmigliore

  • it is interesting how Caruso's opposite a soprano called Caruso's singing a disease she hated tenors apparently but loved bass voices, but maybe after hearing Caruso's voice she would change her mind , I believe he could sing bass if need be

  • Who came here after reading *The Power Of Your Subconcious Mind* ?

  • Gracias.Maravilloso.

  • bellissimo

  • I have upload all recordings he ever made to IN-cd and to my website - greatest tenor of the 20th century in my opinion.

  • He was one of the most important voice of the 20th century.
